Brassolaeliocattleya Hilda Takamatsu is an orchid hybrid originated by H & R in 2006. It is a cross of C. Mari's Song x Bsn. Maikai.

It’s a reliable bloomer during the spring and fall but it can bloom up to 3 times a year when grown in good light. There are usually 2-3 sweetly fragrant flowers per spike that last 3 weeks.
Please note that these plants were made from seed, which means flowers will be a combination of the parents in this cross. No two will look exactly alike. See the last 2 photos for some of the sample flowers that have opened for us.
The Blc. Hilda Takamatsu, sometimes identified as Brassocatanthe Hilda Takamatsu, boasts stunning blooms adorned with vibrant hues of magenta and lavender, delicately veined with touches of white. With multiple variations, each flower combination is a beautiful work of art, displaying an elegant fusion of colors that is simply mesmerizing.

Plant Stage: Mature Blooming Size but NOT CURRENTLY IN BUD/BLOOM

Orchid Care/Culture:

Light: Partial Shade
Temperature: Warm
Watering: Dry between

General orchid care for Cattleyas include a temperature range of 75-85F during the day and 60F at night. 40-60% humidity is recommended. Bright, shaded light south-east or south-west exposure. Check the media and water only when dry (about 1-2 times/week). We recommend fertilizing with a high phosphorus & potassium slow release blend to develop big blooms. As with all orchids, good air movement is essential.
